About Marley & Apple Dog Village

Welcome to Marley & Apple Dog Village, 

Marley and Apple, our beloved rescued dogs, have been cherished members of our family for many years. Together, we moved from base to base throughout our military careers, until my wife's final assignment brought us to Dover Air Force Base, where I eventually retired.

During our years of military service, we experienced firsthand the ongoing challenge of finding quality care for our dogs during holidays, deployments both short and long, temporary duty assignments, vacations, and family emergencies. These experiences planted the seed for what would eventually become our mission: creating a facility specifically designed to serve fellow service members, veterans, retirees, and dog-loving families in our community.

When we finally found our forever home, we discovered something wonderful—it offered the space we had always dreamed of giving our dogs. Here, they could enjoy freedoms that simply weren't possible in base housing. Watching Marley and Apple thrive in this environment filled us with joy, and we knew we had found something special.

It was then that we realized we wanted to share this gift with other dogs and their families. We envisioned a place where pet owners would never again have to subject their beloved companions to cramped, confining kennels. From this vision, Marley & Apple's Dog Village was born—a sanctuary where dogs can experience the same freedom, space, and care that brought such happiness to our own four-legged family members.
